VIRTUAL SUMMER SCHOOL DURATION
The virtual summer school can be from a minimum of 1 week to a maximum of 4 weeks. Choosing non-consecutive weeks may have the consequence of a repetition of the educational content.
After enrolling, the student participating in the virtual summer school will need to take an online test aimed at establishing the level of English useful for inclusion in the class. The levels will be assigned according to the parameters of the CEFR and divided into three groups: Elementary (A1/A2); Intermediate (B1/ B2); Advanced (B2/C1). The test is mandatory.
Virtual classes are interactive online group lessons of the same level of English, Elementary (A1/A2); Intermediate (B1/ B2); Advanced (B2/C1), with up to 15 students. There are two 60-minute virtual classes per day for a total of 5 days per week. Virtual classes can be held in the morning or afternoon. In the case of the student's absence from virtual lessons, the lessons will not be recovered or refunded.
They are meeting spaces for sport and game activities with mother tongue instructors (e.g. cooking, dance, fitness, yoga). The expected duration is 30 minutes per day, and the frequency is optional because it is not within the cumulative hours of the final certification. It should be noted that the aim is to learn the language. In the event of the student's absence from the virtual club, the activity cannot be recovered or refunded.
It consists of a virtual excursion in a museum or a city or place of interest (e.g. Hard Rock Cafe) that allows students to get an idea of what they might visit during a real summer school. Please note that the purpose of the virtual tour remains the teaching purpose for language learning. The virtual tour will be displayed during the daily 120-minute virtual class. In the event of the student's absence from the virtual club, the activity cannot be recovered.
Every Friday before the start of the virtual summer school, there is a short interactive tutorial on the use of the platform. Failure to participate in this activity could create difficulties for the student in the course for which MLA will not be responsible.
